ABS ZEiM Automation specialists completed the training for Experion PKS system at Honeywell company
In the beginning of August ABS ZEiM Automation specialists completed the training for Experion PKS system at Honeywell company.

The training was conducted in Russian at ZAO “Honeywell”, Moscow. The training was related to possibilities of Experion PKS new distribution control system (ÐÑÓ) of Honeywell corporation (USA) on the base of new C300 controllers, as well as to Safety Manager new subsystem for emergency protection systems (ÏÀÇ).

The training was intentional, the integrated automation is supposed to be implemented at one of oil refineries under construction in Russia.

Experion PKS (Process Knowledge System) as refinery control system was chosen for its high functional capabilities in PP APCS and enterprise automation system as well as its effective use in many production facilities of oil-refining and other branches of industry.

The training was conducted on the base of test stands with modern C300 controllers and Safety Manager C family i/o modules as well as working stations and Experion PKS system firmware servers.

Theoretical presentations were accompanied by practicum where trainees created databases, process control programs and manufacturing process imaging by themselves.

At the end of the training each trainee obtained international certificate.

Honeywell company (USA) is a world leader in automation. Company turnover is $24 billion. ZAO “Honeywell” is Honeywell company official representation in Moscow, opened in 1974. Honeywell industrial automation systems are applied in 12 from 13 largest Russian oil refineries.
